Boar (Sus scrofa) is a mammal of the porcine (Suidae) family, belonging to the Artiodactyla order. Originally lived in Europe, Asia and North Africa, later introduced to Australia, America and South Africa. Lives in forests. The boar's body is flat from the sides, the front part is massive. The neck is short, muscular. The head is large, ending in a pointed fang at the front. The eyes are small and deeply sunken. The tail is of medium length. Weighs up to 350 kg. A hunted animal. Hunted in Lithuania. Due to the African plague, it is hunted throughout the year to reduce the population and the spread of the disease.
