Wolves are called forest sanitation workers because they mainly hunt dead or sick animals. Wolves are usually at the top of the food chain in their habitats, although sometimes they compete with bears, cougars, tigers, lynxes (usually wolves avoid direct contact with other large predators, but they can attack to defend their territory and prey).

Wolves hunt in a very organized manner. They choose their hunting grounds based on safety and nutritional conditions. Having good eyesight, hearing and smell, they are well adapted for hunting, they can throw their feet. Hunts mostly at night. They see better in the dark than other predators of the canine family. He can starve for a long time, but when the opportunity arises, he tries to fill himself up for a few days.

Minta eats almost anything it catches, from mice to moose, but its main food is wild ungulates. If there is little food, he does not give up insects and berries. A hunting pack can roam in an area of ​​up to 1000 km²
